"Captain's Daughter” is a spacious home with the ability to sleep a large group comfortably, a private pool and tropically furnished yard, a prime Old Town location, and a private 43’ boat slip.

Through the sliding glass doors of the living area is the private back yard complete with a large deck and a private pool. There are chaise lounges by the heat-optional pool when it’s time for a swim and some sun. A full outdoor dining set by the pool can comfortably sit 6. Cross the parking lot of this private complex to the docks where you will find your own boat slip.

The perks of this little-known location are many: walking distance to the family friendly Bayview Park and Fausto's a local grocery store. All while still being tucked away in your own quiet neighborhood. This home includes plenty of off-street parking.

The master bedroom is on the second level and has a King-sized bed, a large flat-screen TV, plenty of dresser space, and a private balcony overlooking the water. The master bathroom is en-suite with dual sinks, a large soaking tub, a glass and marble shower. The second bedroom is also on the second living level, and has a Queen sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private balcony. The second bathroom is also en-suite and has a tub/shower. The third level can sleep a total of 6: there is a private bedroom with two twin beds that can convert to a King upon request, and an open room with another 4 twin beds, which can convert to 2 King sized beds upon request. The third level accommodations share one full bathroom with a tub/shower. The fifth bedroom is on the main floor and has a King size bed and is also en-suite with access to the bathroom through the hallway as well. Additional sleeping area is available in the living room, as the sofa pulls out into a Queen bed. There is also a full bath off the living room next to the bedroom on the main floor.

Interim housekeeping provided upon request. Wireless high-speed Internet access and full cable is included. This property will accommodate 10-12 adults.

"We truly enjoyed our stay at the Captain’s Daughter. It was just what we wanted for our large group. The pool was nice, the beds were comfortable, it was clean and well maintained. The instructions were easy to understand and communicated extremely well. It was just a little too far from the activities that we wanted to enjoy. Here are our concerns:

• Downstairs bedroom door doesn’t slide on the track or close easily. We shut the door, then never touched it again. We entered and exited via the bathroom
• Downstairs bathroom needs towel racks for both sink and shower.
• Downstairs bathroom could use a shower caddy, or corner shelves to hold essentials like soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
• Downstairs bathroom shower head didn’t have enough pressure periodically
• Downstairs bedroom clock doesn’t have plugs for phone chargers (those with a USB port).
• Kitchen microwave is too complicated. Not clearly marked. Thought it was a 2nd stove/oven at first.
• Kitchen refrigerator ice dispenser lever is practically invisible. Difficult to dispense ice and water
• Get 2-ply toilet paper!
• Palm tree outside has coconuts that are fruiting directly above the chairs by the pool. If anyone is sitting there if they fall, someone could get seriously hurt.
• Additional mirrors on the upper floors. The 3rd floor only had 1 mirror in the bathroom.

"Great property and we really enjoyed our stay. Host was accommodating and communicative up until the trip. We had an issue with the AC where it broke a few days into our stay and caused us some problems — made the top two of three floors untenable. Unfortunately we haven’t heard back from them after we complained after the fact asking for some sort of refund. Seems to be a recurring problem for the unit. All in all tho a great property that I would recommend were it not for that issue.

"We were in the Navy in the late 60's and stationed in Key West for over two years. We have come back multiple times and each time it seems to get better. The Captain's Daughter was probably the best home we have ever rented. The pool was wonderful, the house exceeded our needs, the staff was exceptional, and we would love to come back again and again.

Great location with a Dock

"Overall very solid rental, great spaces. The property could use some additional coffee cups and drink glasses (tall/pint) to cater to the number of guests that it accommodates. Bathrooms could use some towel hooks and additional places to dry towels from showering or the pool. Overall the POC wasn’t very responsive until asked if keys that were lost happened to be found on property after checkout but this was very helpful in ruling out a possible lost location. Kitchen amenities could be improved or increased if preparing a full meal, this rental met minimum requirements but not overly well equipped in this space.
Would I stay here again? Yes, based on location and the dock.

Does the property management company go above and beyond? Not quite there, you can tell this is managed by a company and not a homeowner trying to impress their guests.

Company was asked two times prior to staying if twin beds could be merged as mentioned in the listing and they were not.

This wasn’t a huge deal but I would remove these comments from the listing if the rental company isn’t going to accommodate the request.

Would stay again, property could improve guest experiences with a few small improvements.

Amazing Family Vacation

"This house was great, comfortable, and accommodating for our family vacation of ages of 6months and up!
We had a family get-away for Memorial Weekend. We have adult kids and 2 grand kids. Everyone had space when needed, everyone set comfortable while we ate or played games, spent time by the pool. Close to everything! Always an Uber less than a minute away. Some rented scooters.

"The house was great. Doug was very helpful, always answering my many questions quickly and friendly. The house itself was beautiful. The rooms were huge, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for our large group. I like that the house had three floors, so the kiddos could go to bed early and the adults could have some fun downstairs. House was a great distance to town, not too far, but not too close. It was the perfect combination, and I look forward to going back!

Great family get away!

"The Captain's Daughter was a great place to take the whole family. We had 3 generations staying there and it was perfect for all. Its not on the side of the island we had stayed before so it was great to explore. A group chartered a boat and caught alot of Mahi. A local restaurant Dante's,cooked up 3 ways and it was delicious. I would suggest some minor repairs such as the first floor bathroom commode is very worn, stairs dont have a mechanism to install a baby gate, carpets need cleaning as do the 1st floor couches.

"Our group of 8 adults appreciated the home’s convenient location of walking or biking to Duval Street or water activities.
A fully stocked kitchen and gas grill allowed us to stay in most evenings and cook simple meals.

"We celebrated our 65th anniversary at Captain's Daughter. The home was perfect for out family of 12. Our great grandchildren swam in the pool every day. Javier and Doug at Key West Vacation Homes were excellent to work with. Doug saw that our Amazon order of pool and beach toys was delivered to the home for arrival and Javier refunded us for the food that we lost when the refrigerator in the home went out. "Great vacation home. Perfect location but my one complaint was the lack of kitchen towels. I know it seems petty, but one kitchen dish towel for 11 people? I went to the Dollar Tree to buy a couple more. There were also no coffee filters. I bought some of those too. Again small little things but necessary items. The house is beautiful and if we should come to Key West again, would most definitely stay there again. Plenty of room for a large family to spread out. I recommend The Captains Daughter!

"House looked just like photos, however, it was advertised as heated pool, pump was broken I think they finally got it working for one afternoon, i really was hoping while we cooked thanksgiving the grandchildren would be in pool, they tried said it was to cold so maybe they shouldnt say heated. Several other problems we had to notify them some were fixed, tv in one room didnt work, lamp in one room could only be unplugged to turn off, they replaced tv, not lamp which was ok, oven was dirty and the ice maker did not work and no ice trays so we had to buy ice. Neighbors were smoking and sometimes it was pot and it came into our area and they were very loud. Having said this I would give another try. Thank You.

"The Captain's Daughter was a lovely home. There was more than enough room for the 6 of us. It is close to most attractions, and is about a 20 minute walk to Duvall Street. The house was spotless and is located in a quiet neighborhood. Download the app that is recommended and most of your concerns and questions will be answered. I would highly recommend Backyard Louie's for an excellent dinner and Key West Extreme Adventures/Eco Water Tours/Shark and Dolphin Tours is a wonderful experience. Captain Ken and his son Clay were so informative and have a wonderful sense of humor. You can tell that they really enjoy their job and they made the trip so much fun!

"Our vacation house was as beautiful as expected. It was as clean and roomy for the ten people that were in our group. The pool was not heated or cleaned upon our arrival but after one phone call, the problem was solved. We enjoyed having our “space” around our own private pool.

"The house was even better than expected. We had 12 women and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was spotless. Close to marina, which was nice and cute coffee shop near by. Did have to Uber to get to Duval st. Would definitely go back.

"Captain's Daughter is well maintained, very spacious, conveniently located, and has plenty of parking. A perfect place for a gathering of family and/or friends. The property is not downtown but within walking/biking distance and is therefore quieter than staying closer in. All questions and concerns were answered promptly.

"We had a great weekend at Captain's Daughter. There were 8 of us in the party. The house had 2 big bedrooms & 2 smaller rooms, with queen beds. Each bedroom had a nice full bathroom. The house was very clean. The living room had a bar & a big TV and a big table for dining. The pool was smaller than it appeared in the pictures, but it was very nice & it was heated. The property mgr & staff were very friendly. They gave us a checkin package that had all the info we needed. They were available to answer questions & gave good suggestions for dinner.

"Our stay with 14 people for a 50th celebration was PERFECT. This house is Big, Beautiful and has a perfect common area for all of us. The beds were super comfortable and the MASTER ...WOW .. "Very roomy with 4 bedrooms and a loft. 5 couples or 4 with lots of spare room and plenty of bathroom space. Just on the outer edge of the island making gettin things like liquor and groceries easy. 2 parking spots on site with unlimited on the street. Quick Uber ride to all areas or rent the golf cart. Pool was small for what we usually have but great for Key West!

"Captain's daughter is in a great location set up very nicely. The rooms are very big and the house was clean and functional. There are a few things like the washer and dryer we're undersized though and the dryer was not functioning at 100%. The bedrooms on the top floor were hot and cold. Everywhere else was fine. Parking for this unit what is a definite plus as far as Key West parking kick it. Would definitely recommend and come back if the AC and the dryer situation could be fixed.

"This house was awesome. When I walked inside it was even better than the pictures. The living area and master bedroom are huge. The pool is great and its heated. Duval Street is only a 5 minute drive. If you have a big group, this is the place to be. And they have an amazon echo which is a nice touch.

"Perfect family property at a great location.
Bring the whole family to this beautifully updated property.
Nice private heated pool. Good privacy. Walk out back to the docs and see the big tarpon, sharks, turtles, and other wide varieties of fish.
Walking distance to Duvall Street. Easy parking in it’s own driveway.
Plenty of room for the 8 person golf cart.
Great time. We will be back again.

"We had a great vacation here. I would highly recommend this house and company with no reservations what so ever. The house is amazing. After weeks of researching houses online I was able to see some in person and I couldn’t believe how accurate the online photos are. This house is unbelievably spacious and open. The 3rd floor was for the “kids” in our group - 5 to 18 yrs old. They loved it and it gave everyone the space they needed.
Back yard, pool and patio were great. Partial sun and partial shade all day. The best of all worlds.
Location couldn’t be better. Mine from Duval st and also from grocery stores etc.
If you are considering this house I would recommend you book it, no hesitation! Spotlessly clean, amazing space, excellent location and wonderful company to work with. I hope you enjoy your vacation there as much as we did!

Perfect home for multiple families!

"We recently stayed at the Captain's Daughter to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. The home had three full master bedrooms, a wonderful loft area with a separate bedroom included. It was perfect fr our multi-generational, multi-gender stay. The house was very well appointed, better than others I have stayed at. The location was good, parking was convenient and the pool was okay. Nice to be able to take a quick dip, but not great to linger. The house was spotless and beds were comfortable. Towels for the bath and pool were included, as well as games. Overall a great stay. Would absolutely recommend this house.
